Our History

Gloucestershire Research and Education Group were established in 2010 as a collaboration between Ophthalmologists interested in research within the department of Ophthalmology. We have links with the NHS DESP Research Group, EVICR.net who co-ordinate large multicentre European trials, the IAPB DR Working Group, Acta Ophthalmologica, and have a panel of service users who provide us with constructive feedback on our proposed trials. Since 2010 we have:

Completed [INSERT NUMBER] of trials, had 52 conference abstracts accepted (10 from trainees), 34 publications accepted in peer reviewed journals, and have supervised 1 MSc, 1 MD and 3 PHD students.
